I realized that I was attracted to photography in 2010 and in 2012-2013 I attended a series of courses at RGB Photography, lecturer Răzvan Buluș.
I understood photography better thanks to the advice of Mr. Dinu Lazăr, a very well-known Romanian photographer.
I embarked on street photography after meeting Hajdu Tamás, a highly regarded photographer today. He is like a mentor to me.
I was a member of the PhotoTeam street photography group during 2017-2019. I especially appreciate Sorin Suciu, a former member of the group, the best connoisseur of street photography I know.
Street photography is my main interest. I study the works of many well-known street photographers with very different styles, such as Vivian Maier and Alex Web, but also the works of Romanian photographers, such as Silviu Gheție and Dan Moruzan (who was kind enough to create this site).
I wanted this site to present my street photography projects, as series of photographs on distinct themes.
I practice candid street photography: I try to get closer to the subject without intruding, in order to capture people without any social mask. When a man is alone with himself, what he really keeps inside shines through. I would like to capture such moments in my street photography.
I usually participate in some photography contests.
I won first place at the “Bucharest in black and white” 2015 contest, organized by Mr. Andrei Bîrsan, the president of the ”My dear Bucharest” Association.
I won several contests organized by I SHOT IT:
- In 2015, City Competition: http://www.i-shot-it.com/photo-competition-results.php?pcid=55dcee63322d2
- In 2017, Street Photo Competition: http://www.i-shot-it.com/photo-competition-results.php?pcid=58bb5ac071aa2
- In 2019, Premium Photo Competition: http://www.i-shot-it.com/photo-competition-results.php?pcid=5dbb75ffd95a8
- I came in second in 2018 at the Black-And-White Photo Competition: http://www.i-shot-it.com/photo-competition-results.php?pcid=5b95a6291f45f
I published 2 articles on street photography on the LiterNet site:
I also try to publish my photos through the following media portals:
